AGA 2012

By Amit Bapat on April 3, 2012 — 1 min read

The Aquatic Gardeners Association (AGA) is having their 2012 convention in St. Louis this year.

One of their board members asked me to create a web-banner and poster for the convention, and I happily took on the project. I wanted to use the St. Louis arc in the poster, so did a classical siloutte with an aquarium in the negative space. The poster is set in a square to highlight the latest trends with nano tanks and cubism (the most popular ones being cubes). The most challenging part was to lay the copy inside of the arc. I used futura to juxtapose with the clean geometric form of the arc and the square poster. Poster size is US Letter, 8.5″x11″.
